Design and Modification of Janus Polyvinylidene Fluoride/Deacetylated Cellulose Acetate Nanofiber Membrane and its Multifunctionality

A novel type of Janus polyvinylidene fluoride/deacetylated cellulose acetate (PVDF/D-CA) nanofiber membrane with multifunctional application is successfully fabricated by sequential electrospinning. The morphology, chemical composition, surface wettability, oil–water separation performance, and unidirectional liquid transmission capability have been systematically analyzed. It has asymmetric wettability property in air systems for its bottom top sides. can be used as a water-removing, or oil-removing substance mixture emulsion under harsh environment only gravity driving force (DF) simply switching the different possesses on-demand water oil collection ability, moisture-wicking performance due to switchable permeation capability. Its multifunction easy control adjusting thickness sides through controlling electrospinning time. excellent mechanical property, stability, durability outstanding anti-pollution ability endow powerful cyclic stability reusability.
